As CEO, Gary is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Institute and for providing oversight and direction to staff. The strategic directions for the Institute are developed by Council and Gary is responsible for developing and implementing the programs and processes to achieve those goals. He also acts as chief spokesperson for the Institute.

Kathy Zaplitny, CA
Director of Member Services/Practice Advisor
Kathy is responsible for the inspection of public practice offices. She also provides advisory and consultation services to members in areas including the CICA Handbook and financial statement presentation. In addition, she manages the members' services programs, including the organizing of all professional development courses.

Kim Metcalfe , CA
Director of Student Recruitment and Ethics
Kim is responsible for the student recruitment activities of the profession and promotes the benefits of a career as a CA to prospective students at various Career Days. She also administers the CA Training Office liaison activities for existing and prospective training offices. Finally, Kim manages ICAM’s complaints investigation process.

Dianne Laidler, CMA
Director of Administration
Dianne is responsible for the accounting and financial processes of the Institute as well as the overall administration of the office, including human resources and all computer functions. She also organizes all of the special events including Convocation, the Member Recognition Dinner, lunches, and sporting events.

Shirley Sommer, CA
Registrar
Shirley is responsible for many of the self-regulatory processes of the Institute including membership and bylaws. This includes ICAM's member registration processes and handling inquiries from prospective members outside of Canada. Shirley is also responsible for supporting the work of the Discipline Committee and the Complaints Review Panel.

Tanya Beck
Manager of Communications
Tanya is responsible for member communications, including the development of the bi-monthly newsletter Folio and the overall management of ICAM’s website. She also provides advertising and public and media relations counsel to the Chief Executive Officer.

Jody Bibeau
Receptionist/Clerk
Jody is the friendly voice you hear when you call the Institute. She also handles all incoming mail, faxes, and general inquiries. She co-ordinates meeting room bookings and assists with the maintenance of the member data base.

Kimberly maintains member and CA firm files and data base information, ensuring consistent implementation of regulations related to membership. She handles inquiries from prospective members within Canada, collects member fees, and performs the day-to-day accounting functions of the Institute.
